Soil: Choose loose soil, sandy soil, light loam soil, alluvial soil, good drainage and moisture retention.
Bulbs or seeds: Bulbs must have a mass of at least 50 grams or more, with a diameter of >4.5cm. Potatoes can be grown as whole tubers or grown with grafts. In many places, farmers grow potatoes with grafts to save tubers and reduce initial investment costs.
According to the simple traditional method, after planting, it is necessary to apply dry cement so that the bulbs do not rot if it rains after planting.
Potatoes need high storage conditions, they are susceptible to mold that causes the tubers to rot. In contrast, potato seeds can be stored for many years without spoiling. So if you are not a real farmer, plant with seeds or whole tubers.
Planting pots: Pots, buckets or paint cans.
Air: Potatoes need a well-lit, airy place with nutrient-rich soil, good drainage, and appropriate humidity.

Stage 1: Plant potatoes in pots

With pots made from buckets or paint cans, you need to create drainage holes for the pot before planting. When the sprouts are 2-3 cm, plant them in a pot by burying the potato seed 10 - 15 cm deep in the soil and covering the sprouts with a layer of soil about 2 - 3 cm.
Create ample space for the tree to grow comfortably. The normal distance between bulbs is 1m2, plant 5-6 bulbs, 25-30 cm apart.
At this stage, you need to keep the soil moist enough after planting so that the potatoes will grow evenly.
Stage 2: Care
When potato plants grow large, leafy and develop tubers, they need a lot of water to produce a good harvest. You should water your potato pots regularly and never let them dry out. A cool and humid climate is enough for plant roots to absorb water from the soil to form starch in tubers.
Stage 3: Maturity and harvest

When the plants are about 50-60cm tall, add organic fertilizer around the potted plants to encourage the plants to form more tubers and be more resistant to frost and cold.
Mature trees bear flowers and fruit. The moment the plants flower, they are ready for you to harvest or when the leaves turn yellow and the plants gradually fall apart, they can be harvested. Potato flowers are white, pink, red, blue, or purple, with yellow pistils.
Potatoes are pollinated mainly by insects, with bumble bees carrying pollen from one plant to another. After the potatoes flower, some varieties produce green fruits resembling cherry tomatoes, which can contain 300 seeds. Potatoes contain a large amount of the toxic alkaloid, solanine, so they cannot be eaten.
Now to harvest, you just need to pour out all the soil in the box and collect your results. Note: Do not water about 2 weeks before harvesting to let the soil dry.
